Married (almost) 20 years to one of my high school best friend's brother (nope...that's not actually how we met), 4 kids (2 girls, 2 boys), grew up in a small town - one stop light! - and trying to stay on a journey of healthy habits. I reread Pride and Prejudice every year, immediately followed by Mr. Darcy's Diary. I love all things sunshine, gardening each Spring, own too many house plants, 7 years and going since my emergency back surgery, and I'm just a little obsessed with warm socks and cozy blankets.

it all started when...
I was shooting the most beautiful high school sweetheart's dance group photos.
The location was perfect. The dresses? Gorgeous. The kids? The absolute best group to be with.
We were having a blast together, really.
But my mind was on my own daughter, at home getting ready for her own dance without me.
Trying to do her hair, without me. Trying to do her make-up, without me. Zipping up that beautiful dress...without me.

That's when I knew it was time to pivot to something I can do during the day,
and keep my evenings open to being mom, wife, and friend.

This whole new world of serving others through product photography.
My biggest fear of letting go of portrait photography was leaving behind the joy I got in serving my brides, anniversary couples, high schoolers, and families. I was sad to see the service side of photography go.

I'm so glad I was wrong.

Commercial, product, and branding photography offers so much to me. Everyday I get to serve my small business owner clients and see the relief that comes from taking something so time consuming off their plate. I get the joy of seeing online stores transform and my client's sales and social media accounts increase.
